+ speaking of writing, last installment still untouched after a week. whew. is this real life or what.
+ speaking of real life, 8 FUCKING STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESSES TO GO THROUGH. before the 27th. these are times when i just don't like what i do.

+ so. successful epic move over the weekend; i never really knew we had that much stuff (well, by my estimates, 80 percent hers, 20 percent mine actually - and this is MY room.) but then, 2 years is 2 years, yeah? hm. here's to NEVER moving again. i feel like my back's about to hurt for the next two months. anyway, the floor's wood, so WORTH IT, totally.
+ oh god, how much do i love passion pit? and excitedrainbow? A LOT. there are no words for this now.
+ god no progress on the last installment; the girl and i are sort of trying out the new place, so forgive us, and forgive me while i look for music to write the last installment of "the best of you and me" to. it's ~important.

+ this character (lily) is turning out to be one of the more terrifyingly honest characters i've ever written; a bit too honest to be comfortable, actually, and i'm on my fifth run-through of this, just, i don't know. to say i'm surprised is completely understated.
+ i'll still wonder where you are by lesaut is naomi/emily that gives you that lovely heavy heartache-y feel. i love this naomi - distant, unreadable, just. lovely. and don't get me started on the fucking gorgeous ~language.
+ in another world, i think i'd miss you if we never met, on the other hand, is ~8k words of Alex/Paige in Degrassi by twistomatic.
now, there are very few fandoms that i actually wander into without direct knowledge of the text/show itself. a prime example of this is The Office, but only because of michellek - i mean, i still re-read slowly embracing the concept of you as a never was because it's karen filipelli and it has one of the most heartbreaking breakup scenes i've ever read EVER.
but then, this being twistomatic, i figured, might as well? i've never watched degrassi, not a single episode, but the way this is written, just - oh. the emotions are so solid and identifiable and heartbreaking. obviously, i have a soft spot for things going in circles, and THIS. just, oh.
+ moving out in approx 36 hours? means i'd prolly be off the fucking internet over much of the weekend and monday because i can't get LJ on my phone without the device hanging on me. oh lj, why can't you and my phone be friends. i mean, she and twitter are friends.

+ i am sort of coming down with *something*. bodybreakdown, splitting the fucking calendar exactly in half; tomorrow it's july, and my body says, chill, steady -- ok fine, body, you win. and i don't even smoke anymore; how dare you do this to me. on a week when i have to lift ~furniture because, hello, moving rooms. WHAT UP respiratory system, srsly.
+ oh i'm loving this hard - i am on a lonely road and i am travelling by lesaut -- fucking ~gorgeous.
+ leighton meester and blake lively are doing nothing for my asthma. idk. if they're not ~doing it, IDK.
+ somewhere, lily loveless and kathryn prescott are/have started rehearsing with the rest of those kids for skins s4. the beginning of the end? please there's too much going on in my chest already as it is.
+ fucking Passion Pit. why do i only have sleepyhead on my itunes? why? |
